GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR CARE SERVICE
Dependable Home Care Services understands the importance of wanting remaining in your own home and living independently. Our aim is to always provide quality care and support to promote independance as well as to work in partnership alongside you and your family. We understand the importance of carer continuity as this promotes and builds positive relationships between you and your carers. The aim of Dependable Home Care is to always promote positive outcomes for our customers and their families.
Our carers are trained to support our customers in various areas, such as in continence care, personal care, medication support and general housekeeping. Our carers receive ongoing training to ensure they have the relevant skills and knowledge to provide quality care always. We work alongside district nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and hospital teams to promote a high quality of care.
Dependable Home Care Services has been designed to support those who wish to maintain their independence within their own home environment.
Our carers are trained and competent in providing daily support regarding personal care. Care planning will identify what support is needed and this will be person centred and customer led.
Our carers are trained to support our customers in the unfortunate event that thay have a fall at home. We work closely with our customers and their family to look at reducing the risk of falling and therefore promoting independence.
Our carers have been trained to promote self- determination. Our carers will always encourage customers to make their own decisions and promote their independence as much as possible.
Dependable Home Care Services provide a 7 day a week care service. Sometimes our customers benefit from spending some time in respite care. We are flexible and adjust our care packages to meet the needs of our customers whilst they are in respite care. We work alongside social services and families and offer support where needed. Family members also need to have a break sometimes and Dependable Home care provide reassurances to family members that their loved ones will be well cared for within their home while they are away.
We also provide Live in care, where a professionally trained carer lives with you at home to provide full time care when ever you need it. You can then stay in the comfort of your own home, keep your pets and stay in a familiar environment.
Dependable Home Care Services are dedicated in providing a rapid response to any emergency that may arise. We also contact relevant emergency services if needed to ensure our customers access the help they need immediately.
Hourly Care
Dependable Home Care Services has been designed to meet the support needs of customers who wish to maintain their independence within their own home environment, but require a degree of support to do so. This could be due to personal injury from a fall, spending a period of time in hospital and then returning home after suffering from an illness. It may be that you are now at that stage in your life where you need some support with personal care of household chores. As our carers are trained and have the relevant skills, they are able to promote your independance thus allowing you to achieve a high quality of living. Dependable Home Care Services understands that it may be a hard decision for you and your family to make in asking for support but we are there to support you and your loved ones in making these decisions and then providing you with a quality care service.
WHY HOURLY CARE?
Dependable Home Care Services provides an hourly service which will be disciussed and outlined in care planning. Home visits are scheduled at a minimum 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour or more if requested. This is flexible depending specific needs of our customers. We support our customers to live within their own homes for as long as possible. Our customers have a unique care plans which are designed around their specific needs. We liaise with family members and customers to promote partnership working. Our carers are reliable and compassionate. Personal Care
Our customers may need support in meeting their daily personal care needs. We offer support and care but also promote independence daily. Dependable Home Care services will follow care planning which is unique to each customer and we are customer led. We ensure that personal care needs are met on a daily basis and we promote self- care and independance when appropriate.
Prior to commencing a support package, we will conductb a home visit and complete our assessment. This will provide our team with a clear, person centred care plan specifically designed to meet individual needs. This care plan will be adhered to always and will be reviewed on a regular basis or whenever the customers needs change.
We support our customers in the following areas:
• Toileting
• Support with medication
• Bathing
• Dressing
• Meal preparation/eating
• Shaving
• Companionship
Falls Prevention
Our carers are trained so that in the unfortunate event of a fall, thay are able to act immediately and ensure that our customers access appropriate support. Part of our initial care planning identifieds any specific risks and then looks at ways these risks can be reduced. We offer advice on how to reduce risks within the home promoting safety and well being. Unfortunately, many of our customers can be prone to falls but our trained carers will offer advice on how to get in and out of bed safely as well as safety measures within their home.
As part of our initial assessment, Dependable Home Care Services will complete a risk assessment which aims at making the home environment a safer place therefore reducing risks for our customers.
Confidence Building
Our carers have been trained to promote self- determination and encourage our customers to make their own decisions and be as independent as possible. We believe that our customers have the right to make their own choices and these decisions will be acted on and respected. All our packages of support are designed to build self-confidence and promote independence. Our approach is person-centred with customers being central to all decision making and care planning. We have an experienced team of carers who will be able to promote independence and confidence. Our carers have access to continued professional development / training to ensure that they have the relevant skills and knowledge to offer a high level of care and support.
Respite Care

Emergency Care
Dependable Home Care Services are dedicated in providing a rapid response to any emergency that may arise. This is crucial in ensuring positive outcomes for our customers. This package of care may be needed for customers who have recently being discharged from hospital or had a fall or accident at home.
We support customers with:
• Care at home following discharge from hospital
• Care following a fall or accident
• Should another agency let you down.
• Support due to unforeseen circumstances or a family member has other commitments
Our care team have the knowledge and experience to be able to respond quickly and meet specific care needs at short notice. We work closely with hospital staff and other professionals. We can complete care planning in hospital, coming in to meet the customer before leaving hospital to ensure the approipriate support package is in place when arriving back at home.
Companionship Care
Dependable Home Care Services offers a companionship service, promoting friendship and company at home This includes taking our customers to the hairdresser, grocery shopping or simply having time to chat at home, play cards or even just going for a relaxing walk together. This promotes self-confidence and has a positive impact on health and emotional well-being of our customers.
End Of Life Care
"End of life care" quite literally means providing care and support to our customers until the end of their life. This home care is provided in the comfort and familiar surroundings in your own home.
Dependable Home Care Services believe that everyone should be allowed the opportunity to die in their preferred place / home as well as having their voices heard in terms of decisions made about their treatment and care. We continue to offer this support and continue with our care package during this period. We work closely with other professionals, such as specialist palliative nurses, community nurses and GPs. Our team works closely with family and friends to ensure we provide appropriate support always.
We offer care support 7 days per week and are flexible to ensure care needs are met always.
